Every year, the G&E SIG offers small travel support to graduate students and emerging scholars to help defray some of the costs of attending the CIES Annual Conference.
Consideration is given to PhD students and emerging scholars or junior faculty members (i.e., those who earned their PhD during the last three years). Preference is given to those presenting at the conference and who have limited sources of funding for travel.
The amount of the awards varies between $300 and $500. Final decisions regarding the quantity and amount of the awards depends on the number, relevance, and quality of the applications received.
